Israel Defense Tech Founders Club

By application - Israeli citizens only

The leaders building Israel's defense technology, in one room.

Stronger founders build stronger companies. Stronger companies mean a stronger economy, a stronger technology sector, and a country better able to defend itself. That is the whole reason this club exists.

1Event held

Why this exists

Defense tech founders cannot ask their questions in public.

The hardest problems in this sector are the ones you cannot post on LinkedIn: which regulator to approach first, what a real programme of record takes, who actually pays, which investor understands dual-use and which one will run at the first export question. Those conversations only happen between people who already trust each other. This club exists to make that trust routine instead of accidental.

The vision

Strengthen the founder community, and it builds stronger companies. Stronger companies mean a stronger economy, a stronger technology sector, and stronger national security.

That chain is the whole point. Everything here follows from it - membership is verified rather than large, the room is closed so the conversation can be honest, and the club is free to its members.

01

Verified, not open

Five checks stand between an application and the groups. Membership is personal and non-transferable, and links are single-use.

02

Peers, not an audience

Two circles so a Series B founder and a pre-seed builder each get a room that is useful to them, rather than one room that serves neither.

03

Closed by default

Nothing is attributed, in the room or in the groups. You may use what you hear; you may not say who said it.

Membership

Two circles.

You apply to one. If the reviewer thinks the other fits you better, they will say so.

Circle I

Founders - funded

Founders and co-founders of defense tech companies that have closed a financing round.

  • Peer group of people carrying the same weight
  • Straight answers on pricing, procurement and export
  • Investor and customer intelligence, unfiltered
  • Small, quiet, and slow to grow on purpose

Verification includes confirming the round. A press link, an investor who will vouch, or a Companies Registrar filing is enough.

Circle II

The ecosystem

Pre-financing founders, venture funds, the security organisations and the primes, and the rest of the supply chain this industry runs on.

  • The circle the first event was built for
  • Introductions to investors who actually fund defense
  • Co-founder, first-hire and design-partner leads
  • A path into Circle I when the round closes

Selective rather than open. You do not need funding, but you do need to be building something real or to be someone the room benefits from meeting.

Combat Proven - now receiving applications

Thirty days in Israel for the world's defense technology companies.

Seventeen companies from abroad, a month alongside Israel's primes and security organisations, and a live demo day in the field in front of all of them. Applications are open now, and every company that applies hears back.

Until 1 November 2026Applications gathered. Founders, a working system, the evidence, the competition, a three-minute video.
November to DecemberEvaluation: two one-hour interviews per shortlisted company, each ending with feedback. A hard no comes as a letter with the reasons.
1 to 30 March 2027The first cohort, in Tel Aviv. Workshops, one-to-one meetings, and the demo day.

Verification

How you get in.

Four checks, in this order. Nothing is skipped and nothing is automatic - the last step is always a person. Most applications are decided within 48 hours.

Your application

Who you are, what you are building, and why it belongs in this room. Two minutes, one screen.

Email confirmation

A one-time link proves you control the address. Work addresses carry more weight than free ones.

WhatsApp number confirmation

A six-digit code to your number. This proves the number is yours and that WhatsApp is live on it, which is exactly what the group requires.

Human review and identity

Your LinkedIn profile and your company are checked by a member, against what you told us. We also verify who you are against government photo ID - Israeli ID, passport or driving licence - and membership is open to Israeli citizens. Where it matters, we ask someone who already knows you.

Your ID document is checked and not stored. We keep only the fact that it was verified, and by whom.

Your personal invitation

On approval you receive a join link that works once, expires in seven days, and is tied to your name. Forwarded invitations do not work.

Questions

Before you apply.

Does it cost anything?
No. Membership is free and there is no plan to charge members. Events are funded by partners.
I am pre-seed. Is it worth applying?
Yes - Circle II exists precisely for you, and the events are built around it. You need to be building something real, not to have raised.
Why do you need my phone number?
The community runs on WhatsApp, so the number is how you are actually admitted. Verifying it also proves that a real, reachable person is behind the application. It is never shared with sponsors or other members.
I would rather not be listed anywhere publicly.
Nothing about members is published. There is no member directory on this site and there never will be. If your work makes even the group roster sensitive, say so in your application and we will handle it accordingly.
Can I bring a colleague or co-founder?
They apply in their own name and go through the same checks. Please do not forward your invitation - it will not work for anyone but you.
I work for a prime or a fund, not a startup.
Apply as an operator in Circle II, and tell us plainly what you do. If your interest is commercial rather than personal, write to club@isr-defense.tech instead - that is a conversation with a person, not a form.
How long does review take?
Usually under 48 hours once both confirmations are done. If we are checking a reference it can take a few days longer.
